The Class C motorhome, from 20 to 30 feet long, is the mid-range of the self-propelled recreation vehicles. It sleeps up to 6 people but is often referred to as a 'mini-motorhome'. More maneuverable and agile than the Class A and more spacious and luxurious than the Camper Van, these vans provide an excellent comprise of features and price.
This category of RV is built on an automotive chassis with a distinctive cab-over bunk section. It provides all the conveniences of a larger motorhome - including lots of storage space - in a scaled-down, more affordable configuration.
The Class C motorhome is equipped with complete sleeping, dining, kitchen, and bathroom facilities and may be optioned with extensive video and audio entertainment systems. The distinctive bunk section located over the cab area can also be used to provide extra storage when not used as a sleeping area. Some offer 3-foot slide-outs to provide extra room for living or sleeping areas.
The Class C motorhome is ideal for people with an active lifestyle and easily tows a trailer with a boat, jet ski, or snowmobile. It can be completely winterized for year-round use by adding a high-efficiency furnace, heated tanks, upgraded insulation and double-glazed windows.
